Dog leg left makes the drive all the more important to have a clear shot to the green. Although the temptation is to go straight down the left side of the fairway, some tall trees restrict the natural path to the green. Consideration about the 2nd shot to the green must take into account that venturing to far right will see your ball quickly disappearing away from the green leaving an awkward chip back onto the green.
